***November 1, 2007 - Update on the Acushnet Police - Citizens Police Academy***

Officers and police management have been working on operational issues regarding the scheduled citizens police academy. Until we feel that the curriculum, direction and operation of the academy is at the level of integrity that we intend to give to our citizens, we have to delay it's start date. The citizens police academy is a high priority and a start date will be announced shortly. Please check back for more information. Thank you!

The Acushnet Police Department is proud to announce that the applications for the first Acushnet Police Departments Citizens Academy are now available on line. The applications will be accepted through the month May. Please download a copy of the application and return it to the Acushnet Police Department. The class will be filled on a first come first serve basis so please return your application as soon as possible!
