SUB: B&E Arrest
DATE: January 14, 2010

On Wednesday January 13, 2009 at approximately 4 PM Officer Jeremy Fontes responded to 100 Paris Lane to take a report of a past B&E at that residents. Residents reported that jewelry and $3,500 in cash was taken during the break.

At the scene Officer Fontes made numerous observation which helped the residents to develop a possible suspect who was known to the residents. Officer Fontes canvassed the neighborhood and found a witness who observed a vehicle matching one owned by the suspect.

Officer Fontes contacted Detective James Costa and together they were able to locate the suspect, 22-year old Matthew J. Hall of 6 Emma St. New Bedford and question him. Officers did recover some of the missing money and were able to return it to the victims. Mr. Hall was arrested and charged with 1) B&E daytime and 2) Larceny from a Building.
