SUB: Construction B&E

On March 1, 2010 at approximately 12:30 AM off-duty Freetown Police Sergeant, Sergeant Elton Ashley observed a dark colored Ford pickup truck and 3 suspicious males at a house under construction on Keene Rd. in Acushnet. Sergeant Ashley approached the males and they fled in the truck toward Peckham Rd. in Acushnet. The suspects left stolen construction equipment on the side of the road when they fled the scene. Sergeant Ashley was able to radio the Acushnet Police Department with his observation and with a description of the suspects.
The three suspects and the Ford pickup truck was located a short distance away on Arrow Lane by Sergeant Thomas Carreau and Officer Steve Soqui. The Acushnet Officers located gloves, flashlights and some construction tools inside the pickup truck. The suspects were identified as 19-year old Christopher Breton of 151 Washington St. Fairhaven, 22-year old Paul Marcouciller of 9 Joshua Weeks Lane Dartmouth and 23-year old Ryan Boyer of 199 Leonard St. Acushnet.
Sergeant Carreau located several other stolen tools at Mr. Boyer’s Leonard St. home. Some of the stolen tools were returned to their owner’s while the remaining tools were brought to the Acushnet Police Department. Mr. Boyer, Mr. Breton and Mr. Marcouciller were charged with 1) B&E (Felony) and 2) Larceny from a building.
